Sobre Mim
CURRENT MISSION
To live is to experience. Both Good & Bad times lead to a fuller understanding of the joyride we call Life
ABOUT ME
So many things to say- probably more if you'd talk to my friends ;)
Let's just say that I thrive on new experiences, whether they come from meeting new people, visiting new places or just plain doing something I haven't done before.
I live together with Anne, my feisty and headstrong other half :) She keeps me on my toes and brings out the better/wiser part of me ;)
PHILOSOPHY
If there is any meaning to all this it is only whatever meaning we ourselves attribute to it.
For some it may be religion- to me it is simply Experience. Both Good & Bad experiences teach us about Life and ourselves.
Just make sure to enjoy life to the fullest while hurting the minimum number of people.
Por que estou no Couchsurfing?
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have not contributed all that much yet, but we'd like to open our house to guests from all over the world and show them what a wonderfully ordinary (or ordinarily wonderful) place Haarlem is to live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had quite a few non-CS couchsurfing experiences.
My house has always been open to guests. Friends and aquaintances have lived with me for longer and shorter periods of time, from days to months.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros
Almost anything that isn't written to depress :p
Movies: Too many to mention.
Music: Jazz/Blues, Improv, Lounge. Again- too many to mention.
Books: Fantasy (Weis & Hickmann), SciFi (Hamilton) or comedy (Prattchett) to name but a few.
Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz
Being picked up by two Bedouin at the Monastery in Petra. We stayed with them for almost three days and saw things most travellers don't get to see- though I had to fight my vertigo to see them ;) Wadi Araba from a mountaintop is stunning!
I've stood on the very edge of the Grand Canyon somewhere in the wild. No handrails, no safetynet.
I'll never forget that.
I was lost in Brasil at 17. Quickest way to learn the language I guess :p
Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe
Come on over- or have us over.
There is so much to learn- and teach.
