About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just being a better, more caring, more loving person.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Tucson,Arizona but moved to New Zealand when I was very little, then moved back to Arizona a few years later.

I have been able to travel a good amount, visiting Australia, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Guatemala, Belize, France, Italy, England, Mexico, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and, of course, the US and New Zealand.

I am a huge fan of rock and outlaw and alt country. I was what one might call a professional political hack in my past, pre-grad school, life.

PHILOSOPHY

Love God and love your neighbor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a spare guest room plus a comfortable couch, and I'm always happy to give advice about places to go in the Mountain West.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed at the houses of friend numerous times and have had friends stay here many times. I have hosted a friend from New Zealand for two weeks and, once, me and my mom hosted a couple of Democratic Party activists from out of town.

When I was in Europe I spent the night at several friends houses, including one person I met the day before.

We have had several people from Warmshowers stay with us.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classic country and alt country, 90s pop punk, and contemporary Christian music. I tend to watch comedies and action TV shows and movies, though Casablanca is my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent the night sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the US Supreme Court in an vigil against the death penalty.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a lot of knowledge about the Mountain West and things to do, as well as a welcoming home.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Belize, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, North Korea, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
