Hi! I’m Dwayne, a backpacker from the United States. I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Professionally, I taught 9th grade Algebra in Philadephia before becoming a school administrator and then a nonprofit administrator. After 10 years in education, I'm now on a year-long career break as I try to figure out the next steps in my career.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In January 2023, I began a 3-month backpacking trip in South America. First stop: Colombia, then Brazil for Carnival!
