About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Settle back in France
ABOUT ME
I was born in France but I was lucky enough to live in several countries. I lived with my relatives in Scotland when I was 11 and loved it so much I got addicted to living abroad. I spent a few years in the US with my parents, and then studied partly in Spain and Germany. I worked for a Japanese company in Frankfurt for 3 years, and I spent 3 months traveling around Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. I moved to Tokyo in April 2010 and had planned to settle there for a few years but I had to come back on in March 2011 right after the earthquake/tsunami.I am now working for Airbus in Toulouse.
PHILOSOPHY
If you are not happy with the life you are leading, you have the power to change it. Make the right decisions at the right time and your life will run smoothly. If you encounter problems, try to figure out why and what you're supposed to be learning from them.
Every one of us has a path to follow, so let others be... Try to do what's best for you all the time and people around you will benefit from your positive energy and happiness.
Live the present moment and avoid planning your future too much. What counts is what you are living NOW.
Trust you feeling, trust yourself and others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was hosted quite a lot in SE Asia, which was amazing! I attend a lot of meetings/gatherings wherever I live or travel. I used to host people in Germany and I'm going to start hosting again in Tokyo from September 2010.
Interests
I like to travel, learn about myself and about others. I like cinema, cooking, diving, ice-dancing, salsa, learning Japanese and good books. I love my sisters and my close friends.
I love Asian food, my favorites are Japanese, Indian and Thai. I don't eat meat and dairy products, but I eat fish and eggs. My favorite food includes organic fruits and vegetables, Muesli with soy milk (especially Japanese soy milk), sushi, tofu, all kinds of fish and seafood, Indian curry, whole grains like quinoa, bulgur and buckwheat. I love Japanese fruit such as Nashi (Japanese pear), peaches and cherries. I quite like natto too.
I don't drink alcohol. But I still like to go out and party once in a while!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba-diving in the red sea and in Thailand, the breathtaking mountain scenery I woke up with while living in the Alps, swimming in the blue lagoon in Comino (Malta), climbing on the ETNA volcano in Sicily, making friends with locals in Asian buses, spending New Year's Eve with Vietnamese people in the street, hiking in Yakushima (the island that inspired Hayao Miyazaki's film Princess Mononoke).
Teach, Learn, Share
I usually like to teach (languages for example) but I love to learn, whether from people, books, newspapers or by experiencing something new. I love that this world embraces so many different cultures, and I'd like to get to know all of them.
I'd like to work in the field of intercultural communication / cross-cultural consulting either here in Tokyo or later on somewhere else.
I am open to things I don’t know anything about. Sometimes I go to a concert or a movie without knowing anything about it, if someone I know will take me there or just recommend it. In the worst case I won't like it. So what?
