ABOUT ME
life as a choose-your-own-adventure game -- I'm enjoying that quite a bit
PHILOSOPHY
I saw a poster up on a building the other day designed to look like those red English WWII posters that say "keep calm and carry on," but this one said "keep solving and carry on." I think that describes how I try to exist day to day, not that i always achieve that, but i think it's a great goal.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I can't host, though I have in the past and will again in the future. Also, a good friend of mine is trying to set up an online community devoted to giving, modeled on couchsurfing.. The project is called Giftflow and the site is www.giftflow.org -- check it out!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I lived in a house for a year in New Haven, CT and we hosted a bunch of people on CS... I think we must have hosted like 10 different groups over 7 or 8 months or so. I personally didn't have a profile then, though, so I look like a total noob here. I'm not though! Promise.
Interests
Music, most types; coffee, at most hours; fun, sleep, conversation, exploring, the usual. I also love exploring new places by bike.

Yes to all of the above. I just finished Joan Didion's "Miami," which was great.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw a go-cart race block a major road in Ecuador while a volcano was erupting a few miles away... I really liked the priorities that that implied
