Hi all,

I grew up in Georgia. Moved to AK 6 ago to follow my now wife, Meagan.

I have guided for NOLS for the past 6 years and am now working as a university recreation program director.

I can teach you philosophy of outdoor recreation. Why do we seek experiences in the natural world? Why do we seek challenge? What happens when we are too challenged? Why do some seek solitude in the outdoors and some don't enjoy a hike without friends? How can our recreational experiences shape the type of person we are in everyday life?

I can teach how to make pizza on a camp stove!
