About Me

In 5 years I've gone from never traveling very far to getting my passport, visiting a couple other countries, attending Burning Man twice, (2012&2013) hiking half of the Pacific Crest Trail, spending the better part of a year in Alaska on a whim and now an awesome bicycle ride from Alaska back down to California! Trying new food, meeting new people and visiting new places are now my top priorities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The human experience is amazing and addicting with so many great people out there from all walks of life. I've found when you visit a new place it's usually much better to explore with local guides giving you advice on what to do or where to go based on your interests. Couch surfing is an excellent way to accomplish that and meet new people, a win win situation in my book.

Interests

Card games, computer games, making computer games, browsing redding, bacon, cooking, being artistic and creative, brewing beer and drinking beer of course.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love soundtracks and epic music (Two Steps From Hell), enjoy some techno, trance, rock, alternative, pop, metal. I don't watch TV anymore but I remember nearly finishing Heroes and Lost. I really liked Inception and prefer the more thought provoking or complicated movies but action is great to shake things up. For books alas I don't read as much anymore, recently got into Terry Pratchett, reading Dreadnought by Cherie Priest (She signed my copy!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took on my fear of heights and climbed about 25 foot up a rock wall and repelled down. Hopefully I'll be replacing this soon with another fear that I conquer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about computers if interested. Hardware or software, desktop or laptop, PC or... not so much Mac but I'll try! Pick a topic and I'll share my knowledge of it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking! I love cooking and trying new things mostly because it's so easy to make great tasting food without spending an arm and a leg or going out to eat. I also enjoy working on and fixing or recommending solutions for computers =).

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Iceland

Countries I’ve Lived In
