About Me

Hey guys, I'm Dylan! I play bass and drums, love corgis and cute animals in general, and enjoy making great (read: terrible) puns. I'm a vegetarian, so please don't be offended if I turn down a meat-based meal. There's a chance I've printed a band shirt you own, and I have a mean game of two truths and a lie. I tend to climb trees quite a bit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm just starting out on Couchsurfing. I hope to meet some cool new people and gain friends and references to help with a cross country adventure I plan on taking later this year. Hoping to pick up some tips from seasoned travelers and campers, and to learn about interesting destinations I could visit.

Interests

Playing and listening to music, enjoying the art of new illustrators, exploring nature, longboarding, picnic movies, meeting and getting to know new people, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Baroness, Bon Iver, Aesop Rock/Hail Mary Mallon, Dub Incorporation, Wes Anderson films, everything by HP Lovecraft, and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance are some of my favorites. I also enjoy the music of Kvelertak, Torche, Turbowolf, Kylesa, Mastodon, Serious Beak, Shining (Norway), Igorrr, Death, Revocation, Vektor, Black Crown Initiate, Archspire, Burzum, Reel Big Fish, The Specials, Oreskaband, Streetlight Manifesto, JDub Records, Turnstile, Sound of Ceres, and Shakey Graves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Landed a nickel standing on its side on the winning palette of the Taco Bell coin game.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach you to play an instrument and introduce you to some great illustrators, and I'd love to learn everything there is to know about camp/nomadic style living, and/or whatever you happen to be passionate about. I'll be very grateful if you can assist me in finding temporary work while I'm in town. I'm interested in trying to find the locals' best kept secrets in any city I travel to; introduce me to the best bands, parks, bars, and restaurants your area has to offer!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If I crash at your place I can guarantee some grilled veggies and a few beers (or preferably shandies or ciders).

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ireland
