I am a senior at Coastal Carolina University in sunny Conway SC, but i grew up north of there in Greenwood. I love to travel and meet new people, good conversation is my favorite. And, collecting unique local histories are my favorite guilty pleasure to indulge. I am an open minded free spirit, who will one day change the world. Im a huge fan of sports in general, but soccer is by far my favorite sport. Go Gunners!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on couch surfing to travel the beautiful planet we call earth and the meet all the many beautiful peoples who call her home! I want to fellowship and rejoice in creation with anyone who is wants the same!

Interests

My interests have a vast range from soccer to philanthropy. I love to read and to write, poetry being my preferred medium. OH, i cant forget food and drink! If the mouth could have a passport, i would send it across the globe so i can know the tastes of the earth!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Bod Dylan, Twenty One Pilots, RHCP, State Radio, Flobots, Broadway (Show Tunes), Some classic rock, PNW rap, a little bit of dirty south too. Punk Rock is a must, Reggae and Roots, but anything with lyrics of meaning.

Movies: Kingdom of Heaven (Orlando Bloom), LoTR-- but not the new Hobbit movies, anything with Harrison Ford or Patrick Schwayze, Harry Potter!! Avatar. Anything in the comedy spectrum (I love to laugh).

Books: I love to read! im working my way through the Game of Thrones Books right now. LoTR, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Where the Red Fern Grows, Catcher in the Rye, War and Peace, the complete works of Plato, Aristotle's Politics, The Inheritance Cycle, Volsungasaga.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was lucky to be chosen a participant for the International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT). In Trondheim, Norway, i was blessed with company of many like minded students where we discussed the issues of global corruption. There i got to meet and study with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, which was truly a blessing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: well, i guess i can teach you how to engage in socratic dialogue, or help sharpen your poetry skills. I can cook some mean southern dishes aka i can deep fry!

Learn: everything, especially cooking and songs. Local cultures fascinate me, and i want to learn the songs and foods of every region so that i may celebrate with my world family in their customs. Hopefully Y'all will come to the south and do the same!

Share: I have many stories i love to tell, and some unique world views i have garnered from my companions throughout my travels so far that i would to share!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my limited knowledge of southern hospitality and cooking, and also my heart and my mind. I would love to share and fellowship in the spirit of friendship with all my companions whenever i travel. I am sure i can share some fun drinking games too!
