Overview
About Me
I love traveling, going to new places and meeting new people. When I was younger I developed severe arthritis in my hips so sitting in a car or plane was extremely painful and of course limited my ability to go many places. In 2009 I got one hip replaced and the other a year later and now I’m making up for lost time. Im often traveling solo as being single, the flexible schedule of my job and willingness to travel inexpensively gives me more opportunities than most, so couch surfing is an amazing way for me too gain some companionship during my travels and get the insiders view of the places I visit. That said if my timing isn’t the best for us to spend time together during my visit I am very independent and low maintenance and am extremely grateful just for a place to crash.
Other than that I am Central PA born and raised and live in a home that was built in 1835 by my great great great great grandfather. I love carrying on the local tradition of my family, but caring for the house is expensive, tedious and time consuming so I enjoy escaping to far off places whenever I get the chance.
The kid in the picture is not mine, just to prove people that know me trust me with their children 😜
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love everything that Couchsurfing represents. It's a place where people who need a favor can connect with people who would like to do another person a solid. It gives people opportunities to meet new people, learn things, and do things they might have never had a chance to do if it were not for the kindness of complete strangers.
I don't live in a heavily traveled area so I don't get requests to stay very often, but I always try to accommodate people when I can. I do not know why the app says my response rate is 0%. I don't think I've ever not responded to anyone and the only time I even sent a slow response was after my dog died, so maybe this is a programming error 🤔
