About Me

I always thought people talking about the whole shared consciousness of life were ridiculous. When I began to study biology I realized that we are just highly organised sacks of water and all the little details is less exciting that getting to know other people and their experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people from all walks of life and CS has been a great way to do it. My favourite thing is meeting a stranger one day and then a day or two later being able to say goodbye to a friend.

Interests

Friends know I am into coffee, beer, and biology.
I'm really into the outdoors, particularly hiking and backpacking. I've been trying to get into rock climbing and mountaineering more too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Star Wars is definitely my true love. "Catch Me if you Can" and "Cloud Atlas" are also in the top 10 list. I am also a big Tolkien fan, the books and movies.

Patrick Rothfuss's "Kingkiller Chronicles" is probably my favourite series. Some of my other favorites in no particular order are "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed, "Starship Troopers" and "Tunnel in the Sky" both by Robert Heinlein.

I'm into a huge range of music. All genres have their place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I woke up in the middle of a vineyard next to some little back road somewhere in California and ate merlot grapes for breakfast.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything I know I am happy to share. I have been referred to as a Font of Useless Information but I don't disagree. I can tell you about mosses and lichen, the proper use of crampons, or how to play Dungeons and Dragons.
I like to think myself a good cook and am always happy to collaberate on a good meal.
I always promise an open mind and open ears.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always up for a good conversation and cooking a meal together. I like to think I'm a good cook. I am always happy to share my story and would love to learn more about everyone else's experience.
