About Me

I'm still figuring it out, alas, I live to write, be in the outdoors, drink a damn fine cup of coffee, read, listen to music, and meet new people because we're people and that's what people are supposed to do. A carrot-shaped stick hangs in the balance with another carrot-shaped stick and all I can think about is why the carrot-shaped sticks aren't shaped like non-carrot-shaped sticks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived in a house where my friend hosted couch surfers for a month and met so many excellent human beings. I quickly learned that it is the best way to explore a new place and sort of insert yourself into a deep-seeded culture, and generally just meet adventurous, wonderful people, as well as make lasting connections to those people and a place.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music. Some of my favorite artists include Thundercat, Parquet Courts, Kendrick Lamar, Animal Collective, The Beatles, Starfucker, LCD Soundsystem, Tame Impala, Twin Peaks, and literally many more. My favorite writer is Kurt Vonnegut, as well as many more poets, and beat writers. Movie wise, I am pretty much open to anything. Brendan Fraser is my homeslice. I also love most films by Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Richard Linklater, the Coen Brothers and David Lynch. But of course all art is great and I respect anything that’s a good time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A life and mind altering experience at Machu Picchu. I overcame my fear of butterflies by the end of it, but the in between was a wormhole through an ancient civilization into self awakening and an extremely mediocre sandwich.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook. Let me cook for you! Being around the food table with a bunch of people is one of the best things in the world to share!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share whatever! Love, friendship, awesome discussions, adventures, and of course a list of great words that rhyme with orange.
