Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a question too : Why are you a website to help couchsurfers to do couchsurfing ?!!!

To be serious (yes it can happen), I decided to create an account after a Czech friend I met during a research project for my studies in Prague encouraged me to help and meet people and also to have opportunities to travel. Of course I will not help you to useless stuff but if you need to brush your teeth once you will be in my flat, don't hesitate ;)

And okay I am a PhD student but don't be afraid it doesn't mean anything, you certainly have many amazing things to teach and tell me and I would be really grateful if you can share your experience.

Interests

I like sports, especially fighting sports so if you forget to flush the toilet, I will not forget to push your teeth in the basket.

Football (soccer), hiking, climbing, running, tennis, badminton, frisbee, kiting, ice skating... any kind of sport.

I was not really open minded and talkative before the last two years but after that I had the opportunity to travel for my studies and I enjoyed a lot the trips I made so I would like to discover more and more countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many kind of music (rock, pop, reggea, rap...) french songs, latina music... I like singing in my car because I am a really bad singer. I will be really happy to discover any kind of new songs, new groups, new types of music you like and would like to share.
Just for information : my favourite group is U2... you too ? Perfect we will get on well for sure ;)
I never had the chance to go to a concert but I hope that one day I will see them !!!

I am not a film addict but since some months I try to make up for the lost time and Watch more and more movies (I saw the seven Star Wars in 2 weeks !!!!). I prefer suspense or thriller movies (such as Seven, Inception...) even if I liked Dance with wolves for example.

Concerning books, it is even worse than movies. For my defense, I would say that I am against the deforestation :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lost myself one day and two friends the day after in Amsterdam !!! Hasn't it already happen to anybody ?! What are you waiting for ?!!!! Move your body and get lost yourself !!!

What do you need :

- Decide to leave the eastern part of Germany Bavaria and go to Amsterdam
- Spend only a couple of days there
- Have crazy friends with you, I recommend you Mexican people, you will not regret it, at the beginning you will hate them but at the end you will want to do it again ^^
- Go out on saturday night (it should be a formality)
- Leave the party at 4 or 5 am
- Go to the tram station or bus station or whatever you need to not use your fucking useless legs at that moment to go back to your flat
- Realize that this day is a public holliday an that you have to wait 1 more hour
- Finally take the bus
- Leave the bus but of course you don't know which way you have to take to go back to your flat
- Let your Mexican friends go in one way while you are going in another
- Finally resign yourself to hitchhiking but still without the FUCKERSITOS !!!
- Arrive at the flat at approximately 8 am knowing that you have to leave at 9 am and go back to Germany by car (~ 8 hours driving)
- Still waiting for the Mexicans, you decide to have a shower and get prepared to drive for hours
- And finally leave the shower and see two guys waiting for you as if nothing happened.

Now, I let you imagine how was the way back to home... SAFE of course since I am still alive.
The Mexicans ?... Which Mexicans ? ;)
