About Me
Hey there!
I'm Dylan, a 23 year old human who loves connecting with a wide range of people, and spreading himself thin with a hundred different interests which he barely has time for.
I've recently finished a Bachelor of Psychology in Sydney, and am excited to fully immerse myself in travelling and my other hobbies (currently a lot of salsa dance, music playing, gardening) before diving back into a psychology related field of work.
Overall I have a bit of an urban hippie vibe, have recently gotten more involved with Australia's regional burn (Burning Seed), and am working towards living a more eco-friendly, sustainable life (potentially in a commune) where I can help people with their mental health issues (as a trained psychotherapist or like).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Between July and December 2023 I'll be backpacking across North America and Europe, and would love to find some like-minded people to share it with. Learning first hand about the lives of people in countries on the other side of the world to mine is also very appealing to me, and while hostels are good fun, I feel like Couchsurfing can offer such a unique special experience in this regard.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Technically two things buuut in 2020 I trekked across the Annapurna region in the Himalayas over 10 days (easily the most physically exhausting thing I've ever done), followed not long after by a 10 day Vipassana meditation retreat in Jaipur, India (easily the hardest and largest mindfuck of a thing I've ever done).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to dance salsa (mainly lead)!! Otherwise I play guitar and piano, would be more than happy to teach some of that, or if you're already musically inclined, always stoked to have a jam. Not a bad cook either:))
What I Can Share with Hosts
Love having a good philosophical chat, it's always v interesting to hear about people's experiences and how they contributed to their view of the world. Otherwise we can share some bevs (Australian for drinks), a dance out on the town or just a cup of tea at home.
