About Me

I'm a very social and gregarious person, and I believe travel experiences are made so much more meaningful by the people you meet along the way. I've enjoyed staying in hostels most out of all accommodation options while travelling because of the ability to connect, share stories, and join in experiences with fellow travelers and locals alike! Looking to expand those positives and accomodation type to staying directly with locals/ couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to expand my type of accommodation to couch-surfing in order to connect with more locals and settle into the places I'm passing through a little more.
I'd also love to be able to connect with the day-to-day aspects of my hosts and the place they live, as well as finding a way to give back and get involved with their lives or communities in some way as a thank-you for their hospitality.

I am currently solo road-tripping (in my trusty Honda Odyssey) through British Columbia and will likely be continuing down into the Western States and potentially down into Mexico and would love to meet as many people along the road as possible!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quitting my stable career-job of 5 years in order to travel (solo to begin), meet new people, explore new marvels of nature and experience new cultures, and to explore a career in sustainability or something that helps our planet and our own health, instead of continuing to drive the problem, is top of my list right now!

I've had lots of little personal accomplishments to date (travel and adventure, personal feats growing up) but I think this adventure is going to be the start of something great.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always willing to learn new things, and am a very talkative person so if there's anything that I can teach or share with hosts/ fellow couch-surfers that is of interest to them I'm always happy to do so! My life is driven by curiosity and over the years I've found I tend to dig in and collect a lot more bits of information and perspectives about seemingly random things than most, so always happy to share and entice curiosity in others!

I've grown up in a multi-cultural cities (Mississauga and Toronto, Canada), have had a diverse set of experiences through playing lots of different sports (individual and team), studying engineering in University, working in a Corporate job in an urban center and in outdoor jobs outside the city, and in all my travels that have offered me a breadth of experiences and expanded my horizons.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to engage in deeper existential conversations around consciousness, different philosophies and approaches to life, our current climate surrounding 'progress' and a need for a more sustainable future and stir up some brain-food with friends (new and old) over a beer, or coffee or tea.

I also like to keep things light and energetic and do outdoor things together (I'm great at leading day-expeditions and planning hikes and activities) or spend some time taking in a live-music show, comedy show or other performance based entertainment.

I'm also a fan of making healthy food at home (plant-based) and am always happy to whip up a meal or help out cooking.

I also love to entertain myself! I love to perform, be goofy and make people laugh. What ever puts smiles on our faces :)
