About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live sustainably (preferably in a geodesic dome), eat local organic food, drink clean water, explore the dream realm and travel the globe whenever I feel like it.

ABOUT ME

2013 is the time for massive, focused action. Will you join me?

PHILOSOPHY

Everything you ever wanted is waiting for you downstream. Stop paddling against the current. In fact, it's best if you just drop the oars all together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am an avid reader of several high trafficked groups, and my couch is open to world travelers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Thus far, every experience I've had couchsurfing has been absolutely phenomenal. I try to keep my requests down to people that are like minded and seem to have gusto... and everyone I've stayed with up to this point has been amazing.

I can't wait to host more travelers in my own home.

Interests

In no order whatsoever:

Acro Yoga - rad partnered yoga practice where (basically) one person is giving the other an airplane.

Sketch Art - I went through a 1.5 year phase of drawing portraits everyday, so I'm not terrible.

Marketing - creating monetary transactions fascinates me. It's the highest paying skillset in the world to be able to get someone to hand over their credit card in exchange for goods and services. If more people knew how to fulfill each others needs in this way, I think we would be much better off.

Meditation - You must have a mandatory period of peace during your day in this, the age of information. I believe my meditation practice has raised my consciousness level 3 points over the years, but who's counting?

Engineering - math and physics unlock the secrets of the universe.

Objectivism - I double dog dare you to make an arbitrary claim while in my presence.

Lucid Dreaming - Ah the vastness of alternate dimensions.

Guitar Playin'- been doing it since I was 10. I'm not bad.

Swashbuckling - I don't know what it is, but I do like the sound of it.

Language Learning - I'm constantly striving to better understand my fellow human beings.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Indiana Jones Quadrilogy
Back To The Future Trilogy
The Chipmunk Adventure
Atlas Shrugged Part II
Walle
Most of Wes Anderson's Stuff

... and a whole bunch more

I grew up watching every movie channel available on satellite TV and spent countless hours of my adolescent life accruing a massive database of movie quotes for use in my day to day activities. A good use of my childhood? Perhaps not, but it's gotten me this far.

Music:
Pandora.com is pretty much my main source of music right now.

If I want something specific, I'll go to Imeem and look up the mp3 stream. Everything is free these days.

That being said, I thoroughly enjoy:

Crunchy Techno
Folk Rock
Funk
A bit o' Hip Hop

Books:

Natural Capitalism
The Origin of Financial Crises
The David Hawkins Trilogy
Abraham/Hicks stuff
Bringers of The Dawn
False Profits
Merchants of Deception
All Marketers Are Liars
Ramtha
Stuff by Dan Kennedy
The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari
Mysticism and the New Physics
Emotional Intelligence
A Course In Miracles

...and a whole lot more. I gotta say that I've never been too involved in fiction. I dig self improvement material and stuff I can gain more concrete information from. That being said, I can see why people get into Harry Potter -- that shit's fascinating.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode on top of a freight train over a high mountain pass for 8 hours.

I thought I was going to perish.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you something about one or all of the following:

Objectivist philosophy.

The benefits of meditation and how to be groovy ALL the time.

How to draw pretty friggin' well.

How to play the guitar.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
