About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling through South America for the next 9 months. Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and maybe some stops in between! I want a unique and culturally significant experience. I want to hang out with locals, learn spanish and immerse myself in the culture of the places I stay.

ABOUT ME

I'm a really easy-going guy, open and up for anything. I love new experiences and meeting new people. I'm extremely flexible and am willing to compromise. I'm not an attention seeker nor overly loud, but if you ask i'm willing to talk! I worked for three years in New York CIty after university, and now looking to see more of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Turkey in 2012, but not since then. I'm now traveling for another 9 months and would like an authentic cultural experience in the places I'm staying. While the hostel life is nice, I think this is a better way to truly immerse myself in the cultures around me.

Interests

I love being able to understand the many layers of things. I'm all about quality over quantity. I'd rather see two or three amazing places in a country and spend time there and understand them fully rather than simply see as much as possible.
On a separate note, I am a huge sports fan, and love playing any and every sport. It's what i spend a lot of my time doing and I've met some amazing people through my experiences.
I'm also interested in politics, culture, and new experiences, especially while here! More than willing to talk about politics in the USA as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just finished hiking the Big Circuit in Torres Del Paine, Patagonia. Truly one of the most incredible things I've ever done. The landscapes, the diversity of plants, animals, and weather, truly an unmatched experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really want to be fluent in Spanish by the time I return home. I can help people with English as well. I am also super interested in the politics of the region and am more than happy to talk about the world today, whether American politics, Chilean politics, or another part of the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A unique and widespread knowledge of American culture, English, generosity and an eagerness to learn. I am willing to try new things and experiences as well.

Countries I’ve Visited
