Hi there! I'm Dylan. I'm from Honolulu, Hawaii but have been living in Cartagena, Colombia this past year teaching English in a pubic secondary school. I've loved Colombia and am lucky I've been able to travel around and get to know this beautiful country. I will be traveling around Brazil for the month of December before returning to Hawaii next year. I love traveling, volunteering, meeting new people, and simply just having a great time! I'm super easy to get along with and I love learning about new cultures as well as sharing my own. I'm an active person, love the beach, hiking, or basically doing anything outdoors! I'm so excited to get to know Brazil and hopefully meet some wonderful people :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be traveling around Brazil the month of December. Primarily in and around Rio de Janeiro, but I don't have exact plans yet. I'd love to meet friendly local people and better understand the culture and see the way of life through a locals eyes!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While getting my PADI scuba diving certification in Thailand, my second dive ever we saw and swam with a whale shark!!
