About Me

ABOUT ME

Normal is definitely not my strong suit, it's too boring. My gift is the ability to make anyone laugh and hopefully be able to show someone traveling a good time; even if it's a disaster I promise it will always be entertaining in some way. I love sports, video games, pubs, theater, camping, traveling, comedy, not-comedy... basically it's hard for me to hate something because why hate when you can enjoy, life is full of unexpected gems to find. I think that was a run-on sentence, but it's ok, i won't lose any sleep over it, and neither will you when your on my couch.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to live my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend had a couch surfer stay at his house and I loved getting to know new people from around the world so I created my account for anyone interested.

Interests

Currently I'm enrolled at the University of Winnipeg in the Faculty of Education. I'm also working at a 5-pin bowling alley in the evenings, easiest best job ever! When I'm not working or at school I'm either at a pub with friends, watching/playing any sport you can imagine, playing online video games, camping in the summer months, just generally living awesomely.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On Christmas day 2009 my family went golfing at Turtle Bay resort (North Shore of Hawaii) and it was the same day they experienced the largest waves of the year. I just remember standing on the 17th green looking directly out at 30-50 foot waves crashing from the ocean, it was spectacular.
I don't remember the exact year but a couple of years ago my family were in the Canadian Rockies and we went whitewater rafting. It was made all the more memorable by the fact that the guides steering oar broke, our raft got thrown around, and eventually we got sucked into the one rapid no one`s ever supposed to go through. Being at the direct front of the raft I got sucked into it and subsequently thrown ten feet in the air, it was awesome!
A bit closer to home I was participating on a day long canoe/portage expedition out to a cabin. That evening we went swimming in the middle of a lake in the middle of essentially nowhere. The water was so calm and the sky was so clear it reflected off the water and it looked as though they blended together.
