Interests
I am very culturally engaged, I work in the motion picture industry in Los Angeles as a stylist/assistant and freelance as a classical/session musician/composer. I come from a family of artists, environmental activists, chefs, and thinkers, and I love engaging and open conversation. I love to travel and see new places through the eyes of the local people, and recently spent 4 months traveling in India and Sri Lanka.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is so hard to do! I love a lot of different music, so I'll try... I like to sing along with David Bowie in the car, and I like to sing renaissance polyphony in churches, I like to listen to great new music my friends are making, and I have a very special place in my heart for Kendrick Lamar, Kate Bush, Brian Eno, Velvet Underground, Beach Boys, and my 2.5 yr old niece has really brought me around to the Frozen soundtrack recently...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently spent one month in a hut in Sri Lanka at a mountain monastery studying ancient Buddhist scriptures and meditation.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a classically trained singer and pianist, and I play jazz piano along with many different styles. A friend in college once told me I was a "musician's musician", which I held as a high compliment.
I have taught voice, piano, and theory, and am always happy to engage in that stuff, but my real passion is to teach and learn about the Buddha and his philosophy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The best I can share, aside from the stories, anecdotes, scraps of wisdom I may or may not have picked up along the way, is an open ear and a passion for being of service to others. I am tidy and drug/drink/smoke free, although I would never judge someone for their choices. I have seen a lot of the world, and would like to think I have a somewhat unique perspective, though I'm willing to accept the possibility that I don't!
