ABOUT ME

Hi everyone. I'm a 24-year old fashion designer with my own company in Toronto, DylaniumKnits. I work with all kinds of hand and machine-knit garments trying to create beautiful and interesting pieces for folks. Being an independent fashion designer doesn't really pay, so I also work full-time as a secretary/administrative assistant.

I'm generally very busy, and really like it that way. I'm friendly, sociable, and love learning new things about people. If it's important to you, I'm gay/queer and well connected with the LGBTQ community here in Toronto, as well as the burlesque, drag, and fashion communities. If those are things you're interested in at all, then we'll probably get along. If they're not of interest to you, but you don't mind that they're my interests, we'll also probably get along.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life so that I can make it better for other people, while still staying true to myself and adding to my whole being. I love fashion, not because of the industry itself, but how people can truly express themselves by what they wear, the statements they make and the ideas they challenge.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm starting out by hosting and playing tour guide in Toronto. I may be getting more involved in the CS community as things progress, but we'll have to see. Also, I will be taking full advantage of CS the next time I go traveling!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent much of my youth sleeping on church floors, friends' places and more. In my old age, I've become quite fond of the finer beds in life (love fancy hotels) but I also know that they come at a price and don't tend to be nearly as fun.
