About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Visit many different places; make many different friends; make many different films.
ABOUT ME
I enjoy documenting my experiences through a lens. I studied film/animation/video at the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated in 2011. I rowed and nordic skied in high school, I've been snowboarding for most of my life, and I surf (waves and couches :). I'm currently making a documentary with my best friend about the surfing community in my home state of New Hampshire (http://thegranitestoke.blogspot.com).
I've done a fair amount of traveling, but I want to do much, much more. That's why I'm here :)
PHILOSOPHY
I wish I could sum it up in an elegant sentence... I suppose I'm still figuring it out. I like to document and share experiences. I hope to make films that have a positive influence on the viewers. I hope my work brings people together and connects me to people I would not have met otherwise.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't have my own place right now, but as soon as I do, I'll be excited to invite couch surfers to stay with me. In the mean time, I want to make connections with new people and learn all I can from them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I drove across the US with my best friend one summer. We did it very quickly - it was a last minute decision and we both had to go back to school in a week, so we did in in six days (New Hampshire to California). It was an incredible trip, and we only had to stay in one hotel. Every other night we stayed with friends who were already at school, or family.
Interests
Film, animation, photography, surfing, snowboarding, biking, hiking, woodworking, travel, music and instruments, mechanical things...
I studied animation and film in college and that is what I love to do. If I can combine that with travel and sports, even better. Right now I am working with my best friend on a documentary about the surfing community in my home state of New Hampshire: http://thegranitestoke.blogspot.com.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Berlin, 2006, watching the World Cup semi-final (Germany vs. Italy) on a giant screen in front of the Victory Column. Incredible atmosphere, and a jarring - yet unifying - silence when Italy won in overtime.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, United States
