About Me

I recently moved to Japan as an English teacher. I am passionate about social & environmental entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability, systemic design and circular economics. I'm always planning my next adventure in Japan or abroad... I enjoy meeting new people and sharing life stories and a laugh. I've met some awesome people through CS and I'd love to keep meeting more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted back home and had some wonderful experiences. CS has made me realize how beautiful a city can be and I'm really appreciative to live in such a great city and country. It's my pleasure to share it with travellers. Nothing beats being shown around by a local!

Interests

Standup Comedy, Disc Golf, Travelling, motorbikes, cooking, costume/themed parties, thrift shopping, fishing (squid fishing in particular), meeting new people, partying, art and craft, scrapbooking, and much more!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into upbeat/feel good music and anything that's easy listening. Some of my favourite bands include the Arctic Monkeys, the Kooks, JET, The Preatures and a heap of other Aussie artists! I'm always listening to triple J on the radio, or cranking spotify in my car. Don’t mind a bit of American country too as it reminds me of working there and driving along the Mississippi!

Favourite movie - About Time
Best movie I’ve watched this year is an Aussie doco called Gurrumul

Don’t watch a lot of TV!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met a guy in a pub in the U.S. in 2014 and then I came back to work for his brother-in-law. I have a map at home with pins and strings of every place I've travelled to and every flight I've caught, I'm pretty proud of it and always excited to add that next pin!

Teach, Learn, Share
