Overview
About Me
I am 27 and recently quit my job to travelling around Asia for 6 months with my girlfriend. This is my first trip out of North America and guess what country we started in? Well it was Mongolia and it was amazing!
Before this I lived in montreal for 8 years where I went to Concordia University and worked a part-time job at the same time. The part-time job after university turned into a career in landscaping and horticultural design. I love anything to do with the outdoors and in the winter my big passion is skiing (right after high school before university I lived in Whistler, British Columbia for a year and skied 137 days and was hooked!). I studied philosophy and sociology in university but I found a quit different passion through working with plants and flowers that I feel has given me a better connection with the natural world. This has made me extremely interested in anything concerning horticulture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couch surfing because I met some people in Datong china who were from Australia and had couch surfed for many years. They couldn't count the countries they had gone to and the couches they had surfed, and not one of these times did they meet people who gave them a bad vibe or showed them a bad time. The couch surfing community sounded like a group of people that I related with and really wanted to be a part of
Interests
I love anything to do with the outdoors camping, canoeing, fishing, spearfishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, and tons of skiing in the backcountry.
Love animals especially dogs
extremely interested in gardening, urban gardening, farming, hydroponics, forest and ecological management, eco-farming, and methods of growing and using plants for their combined beauty and diverse utility.
As a Canadian I also love ice hockey and especially lacrosse (Canada's true national sport, even though hockey is often thought of).
Now that I got the travel bug, travelling and meeting new people from around the world is a huge interest.
Also recently interested in beard culture, micro brewing, and make your own beer and wine making.
