I'm a musician from Rhode Island, currently playing in two bands: Dylan Sevey and the Gentlemen (www.facebook.com/dylanseveymusic) and Smith&Weeden (www.facebook.com/smithandweeden). Both groups are dedicated to creating the best music possible and sharing it with the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couch surf not just to find a place to sleep, but to meet people within the community and learn about wherever I am staying. I want to learn as much as I can about where I am.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two of my bandmates and I couch surfed for two weeks in Tennessee last summer and we had the time of our lives. We are looking forward to meeting new people in new places!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: rock and roll, blues, jazz, folk, classical, bluegrass, country, hip-hop...there's something good to be found almost everywhere. Partial to The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The White Stripes, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, Charles Mingus, Hank Williams, John Coltrane, Little Walter, and so many others.

Film: As with music, there's something good to be found everywhere. Anything Stanley Kubrick, Eternal Sunshine, Shawshank, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Dark Knight, Anchorman, Pulp Fiction...

Books: Non-fiction mostly. Biographies, opinion pieces. Stephen King, Dave Barry, Dennis Lehane.
