ABOUT ME

I've just turned 23 and am embarking on a long trip across the US with my friend and musical partner Steve. I am hoping to meet lots of new people through this website. I really get a kick out of turning strangers into friends even if I will likely never see the person again (although meeting people through this site increases the odds that I will stay in contact). I think that is why I am setting out to travel, I want to make as many friends and meet as many new people as possible before I "shuffle off this mortal coil" as it were. Maybe that is a bit over dramatic but I do hope to see as many of the faces and places this world has to offer over the next few years. I am hoping to survive on busking as a street musician but it remains to be seen whether this is possible. Also trying to hold down a relationship back home, her support keeps me going. Who could ask for anything more? Anyways, I hope to be seeing you somewhere along the way. Take it easy!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know that I can define my entire philosophy of life. There is, however, a Kris Kristofferson lyric that I keep written on a dollar bill in my wallet. "If I never have a nickel I won't ever die ashamed, 'Cos I don't believe that no one wants to know." That is from To Beat the Devil.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the website but so far I have met so many amazing people all within the span of two weeks. I hope to participate by meeting up with people who are looking for a friend in a strange city or a new face in a familiar city. Once I have settled back into Toronto I will also start offering up a couch.
