Re-discovering the spice of life after a long break!

ABOUT ME

At heart, I'm a traveller (I must have belonged to a nomadic tribe in one of my past lives!) but in practice I'm not travelling much these days. But I'm always open for it as far as possible. I'm a father of two (boys: 5 and 11) and have the kids with me half of the time, so these are the weeks it's less easy for me to host. The other week, you're welcome! When I find time, I enjoy gardening food (I participate in a communal permaculture food forest project, and have had several allotments in the past), cooking food, being out in nature, a dose of sport (these days reduced to some beach volleyball on the few days it doesn't rain) and going to party every so often (all sorts of non-commercial parties and music..)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting interesting people from all over the world, and a lot of the interesting people seem to be travellers :-)
When I travel myself, I like to avoid hotels and anonymous generic spaces & places, and rather look up nature and personal contacts with real people..so CS has proven to be an ideal medium!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hitch-hiked across most of canada in 4 days & experienced the pacific rim rainforest, went to rainbow gatherings, seen some crazy communities, witnessed the birth of both my children at home and have followed the amazing continuing evolution of small beings

Teach, Learn, Share

Have a pretty sound knowlede of gardening, environmental sciences, ecology/composting/permaculture, all soil things, food history & nutrition, wild foods & foraging
Want to learn more about meditation/yoga, artistic expression (wiide range), more music (I've started playing the double bass)
