About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to feel and experience joy

PHILOSOPHY

Be gentle with yourself and others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At first I joined this site to make my trip to Europe affordable (who can beat 'free'). But now that I've been out there and met all these other amazing surfers, I'd like to ... well... couch the world. Since I joined this project, my world is ten times bigger!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed on a few couches through this program. Most were extraordinary experiences where strong friendships were formed.

Interests

I am interested in funerary cultures from all over the world. Of course traveling, mammoth walks, Art, people, sexuality, watercolouring, meditation, running, absurdity, quiet moments and knowing the pain of too much tenderness.

Music, Movies, and Books

BBC comedies, adaptations of Jane Austen's works (I'm a sucker for this historical period). Best in Show and R2-D2: Beneath the Dome (I LOVE mockumentaries). Fog of War, Fight Club, Life Aquatic, The Royal Tenenbaums, Clockwork Orange, American Beauty, anything by Monty Python, French Kiss, Old Boy, Three Monster, The Professional aka Leon, Malèna, A River Runs Through It, To Kill a Mockinbird, Day of Wacko (Dzien Swira), Hedwig and the Angry Inch, American Werewolf in London, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Annie Hall (Allen's early stuff - don't even get me started on his recent work...), The Cook the Thief His Wife & Her Lover, and It's All Gone Pete Tong (brilliant)!

Too many to list, but I do love To Kill a Mockinbird (Harper Lee), The Revival of Death (Tony Walkter), Catch 22 (Joseph Heller), Unbearable Lightness of Being (Milan Kundera), Great Expectations (Charles Dickens), Time Traveller's Wife (Audrey Niffenegger), The Awakening (Kate Chopin), the 12x12, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim (David Sedaris) and everything by Kurt Vonnegut and/or Kilgore Trout and Chuck Palahniuk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
