ABOUT ME

Right now I can't host anyone, sorry for that. But if you need some tips, advice, or some kind of tour around the city of Moscow, don't hesitate to write me.

Please never write me couch requests in more than 10 days advance. Usually I never know what I'll do on exact date in a month, two or half a year, so I can't promise you anything on a long notice. Maybe it is not right, but not everything in my life depends on me.

For those who don't like social networks, I can say, that whatever my biological age is, I'm 15 in my head and behavior, and 12 in my heart. I hope that I can be like this forever. I'm photographer and photographic equipment expert, currently wasting myself at the office photographing meetings, conferences, round tables and other blabbery, since there is no need here for one more news photographer. Yes, I see and photograph very high officials quite often, but they are just people, and the best people I've met (with very few exceptions) are related to space, aviation and Couchsurfing. Also I can do desktop publishing, not that lame about computers (not a programmer or web designer though) and some other stuff.

I'm interested in good music and my tastes are broad enough, from Chinese street erhu players to YES and math-rock.

I AM talkative, but sometimes prefer to be listener or just silence around. It's quite pointless to talk about to me about lomography, modern art, movies, photography exhibitions, pop stars and "Russian rock" music, since my universe is mostly parallel to all that.

I don't support anti-globalism (CS is a very global thing, right?) and any political party or movement. From my point of view, journalist can have an opinion about that, but it's his private opinion not for vocal expression. My religion is a mix of friendship and common sense, and this combination doesn't have any entity or symbols to worship yet. Yes, I've read most widespread holy books and found them pretty similar in many aspects, so I prefer being neutral here.

I'm not racist or bigot and I AM pacifist. I believe that all over the world good word, smile and camera work much better than good word and a gun.

Apart from languages listed on the left, I'm pretty keen in understanding all Slavic languages written or slowly spoken. Since I'm a bit familiar with French language and some classic Latin quotes, it's not that difficult for me to grasp the ideas expressed in (written) Esperanto, Spanish, Italian, Romanian, Catalan and Portuguese. English knowledge saves me from being completely deaf and blind when it comes to German, Dutch, Flemish and Scandinavian languages, except for Icelandic. More than decade of watching anime helps me to understand spoken Japanese somehow, and I can even say something, but don't expect fluent speech or reading from me. For all other cases there is Google the Almighty.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like the whole idea of CS and can hardly imagine another way of travel and accommodation for myself, be it on CS or another such community (but CS is the best).
