About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To delve into artistic projects

ABOUT ME

"I believe that the world is beautiful and that poetry, like bread, is for everyone." Roque Dalton
Right now I am studying a lot, working toward my acupuncture license. I have quite a ways to go, but I am enjoying every step of the journey. Elwood, my dog, and I just moved back to Sonoma County from Berkeley. I love both places, but am happy to be back in the countryside. I can't wait to get a garden going!

PHILOSOPHY

Live with intension and tap into the collective conscious every chance you get. Individualism is overrated; community is where it's at.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have just embarked on a bluegrass project with a friend, so I've been studying twangs from the likes of Dolly Parton, EmmyLou Harris, Rose Maddox, and Woody Guthrie. I love many different styles of music.
As for books, I am a big Haruki Murakami fan. Lately I've been reading a lot of Eastern philosophy and health books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen was on a cliff on the Na Pali Coast in Kauai. I was lying on the cliff thinking about life and journaling, and as I looked out into the ocean, I saw a mother and baby whale swimming together.

Teach, Learn, Share

Things I'd love to learn:
Spanish, Chinese language and pinyin, Portuguese, more about gardening and building, basic welding, guitar, knitting... the list could go on and on.
Things I'd love to teach:
Herbalism, nutrition, Oriental medicine basics, massage, and classical singing techniques are some of what I can offer.
