ABOUT ME

We're a married couple: Paul is 35 and works as an analyst at a financial institution, and Corinne is 28 and is a graduate student studying for her PhD in linguistics. We currently live right outside Washington, DC. We travel every chance we get, and we love meeting new people, learning about new cultures, and trying new food!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We just discovered the CS project. What a wonderful idea! We're so glad that so many people put in so much effort to make this concept work. We're planning to try out CS when we're in Japan in June, and then we plan to start hosting when we return.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We just learned about the couch surfing website, and are very excited about trying it out for our next trip. We would love to host people in our home as soon as we return! We've hosted people in the past for academic conferences and hope that the couch surfing experiences will be as interesting and as much fun as those have been.

Movies: Coen Brothers movies, pre-20th century British period dramas (especially BBC adaptations of Jane Austen). All kinds of books: philosophy, 19th century Russian authors, mass market fiction, Harry Potter, Douglas Hofstadter, Richard Dawkins, Steven Pinker.
