Overview
About Me
I am a relatively mature but still young college student. I am currently studying Anthropology and Archaeology though I have studied and worked in a few other fields in the past. I have experience in Botany as well as working in a Nursery and doing landscaping work throughout my life.
I have held jobs in everything from Refurbishing houses to customer service in mall food court. I enjoy a variety of activities, I spend most of my time that I am not in class or working, reading, but also enjoy doing a variety of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and general frolicking in nature.
My music tastes are very eclectic though I tend to lean towards classic rock and British punk.
I sketch and paint in my spare time when the mood strikes me and I dabble in other crafts such as wood carving and jewelry making. I can be sarcastic and love a lively conversation or even debate if the subject is interesting enough.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There are a few different reasons I am hoping to make use of this amazing idea.
One of the obvious is that it will allow me to see more of the places I wish to travel without having to spend 2/3rds of my budget on hostels/camp sites/rooms.
However what really attracted me was my field of study: Anthropology, specifically Cultural Anthropology which is all about speaking with the people of different cultures to learn about their History, Beliefs, Cultures, and even Taboos.
What better way then to stay with the people I want to learn more about. It would be a bit like a cultural immersion program, just self driven and miniaturized.
It is also always nice to meet new people and Make New Friends.

Music:
Pretty much anything by: David Bowie, Queen, Billy Idol, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, My chemical Romance and Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Aqua, the Big Band Era
In general I enjoy Classic Rock, British Punk, and Metal, Big Band, Classical and much of the early rock like The Turtles, Animals, Doors, Stones, etc
Movies:
Horror, Sci Fi, Action/Adventure, Fantasy...the cheesier the better!
