Live in Melbourne for a while, then move to NYC in July 2015.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 27yo human man living with 8 friends in an office building in Melbourne. I only work casually, as do a few of my housemates, and in our spare time we try to do a lot of surfing, play lots of basketball, go to pretentious cafes, and have lots of fun with friends. I'm learning Spanish because I want to couch surf around South America in 2016, and planning to go and live in NYC for 6 months or so from July 2015. Before I leave Melbourne though I'm keen to help out some couch surfers with a place to stay, as I've found it to be a really handy tool in my experience overseas!

Sports. Used to play tonnes of tennis and basketball, and still play basketball just for fun. Pretty obsessed with surfing. Golf as well but I'm pretty shit.
Read a fair bit of classic literature.
Deliberately missaying popular sayings/metaphors.
Afternoon naps and sleeping in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Kendrick Lamar, Johnny Cash, Outkast, Four Tet, Nicholas Jaar, Jacques Greene, Todd Terje.
Movies: Recent batman movies are awesome. The Assassination of Jesse James, In The Loop, Adaptation, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Departed, True Grit (re-make), Frost Nixon.
Books: The Quiet American, Catch 22, On The Road, 100 Years of Solitude, The Plague, The Count of Monte Cristo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completing my first marathon. Sounds lame but I had a horrible race and was in bad pain from quite early on so I gained a bit of respect for myself being able to run out the distance.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can share some expertise about any musculoskeletal injuries that are giving you grief. Got a pretty solid knowledge of hip-hop. Happy to learn about anything from anybody who is proficient in the thing they are talking about!
