Overview
About Me
I am a 27 year old English girl from Brighton,UK. I want to meet interesting people from around the world, and see the world from different perspectives. I hope that my meeting with you will be more than just a couch, but also the start of a real friendship.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have spent the last few years wandering around the world, and couchsurfing has been a big part of that. Now that I am back home in Brighton, I want to return some of the hospitality I received.
I do not treat couchsurfing as a free 'hotel', I hope we can share a unique glimpse of our worlds and hopefully make new friendships.
(btw, all of my photos and references are with my friend Beth because we travelled and couchsurfed together. We don't live together, but she is my best friend so you will probably meet her if you stay with me)
Interests
I enjoy travelling (and all random adventures), festivals, yoga, beaches, languages, psychology, politics, learning about anything new, exploring new cities (especially abandoned urban landscapes), chilling with a beer, going for nice dinners, Netflix binges, meeting new people.
I am very sociable and just love having any new experiences with great company, whether that's climbing a mountain or lying on the beach with a hangover :)
I studied psychology, and have worked in neuroscience research, so I have a deep interest in we humans - neuoscience, psychology, philosophy, ethics, politics etc. I love any kind of deep chats and debates!
I have a passion for learning new languages... trying to break out of the English stereotype! Falo Portugues e quero tanto treinar, se for Brasileirx, por favor entre em contato comigo :D

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: depends on the situation - anything from house and techno to acoustic to hip hop to reggae... the list is endless! I REALLY love Brazilian music - funk, MPB, reggae, rap, samba, kizomba... PABLLO VITTAR!
TV/Movies: Mainly documentaries (e.g. Cowspiracy, Louis Theroux) and a few Netflix shows.
Books: I read too much nonfiction (e.g. Sam Harris, Yuval Harari, Naomi Klein). I would like to start reading more fiction. And I need to read more in Portugues, if you give me a book in Portuguese I'll love you forever ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitch-hiked from the South to the North of Argentina and had incredible experiences along the way. I was so overwhelmed by people's kindness, it pretty much restored my faith in humanity.
Lived in Brazil for a year, learnt Portuguese and volunteered for an NGO. Was a crazy year with a lot of stories.
In 2016 I lived in Zambia for three months teaching sexual health, which was a life changing experience in so many ways which can't be expressed here in writing...
Ok... That was more than one thing..
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share languages (I'm a qualified English teacher). I can show you the best spots in Brighton (my amazing hometown) especially the nightlife ;) and I can introduce you to my lovely friends.
Learn: I love learning languages, especially Portugese. I love eating so I would like to learn to cook new dishes. If you have any random hobbies please share them with me!
