Currently we have less opportunity to travel abroad but we will be happy to host surfers.

ABOUT ME

We love to meet different cultures, travel around the world, and drink tea. Mostly we got only the tea but one day we will travel more.
We live and work in Budapest, staying in the city most of the time.

We love to plan things, dream on and of course achieving them. Sometimes smaller things like making the kitchen better sometimes bigger ones.

I (Laszlo) am a "Do It Yourself" person, creation is my hobby.
I (Timea) really enjoy reading and exploring the stories, history, myths, etc. related to turism. I love all castles and imagine the way of life in that time they were used.

PHILOSOPHY

We do not watch TV. Seriously.
(TV is bad. Period.)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

You can surf by us, and we are open to explore the city with You if You like that, because being a local we hardly visit some special places worth to see.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The surfers we met were the best company we could ask for. They were always a nice experience.
But we had some bad experience with people who offered us host, but then we found ourselves in a city homeless. I am glad we saved the address of some hostels.

Interests

(László) I like old sci-fi movies, reading science fiction, meeting with friends, my wife, cappuccino, Chinese food, teas, Turkish gyros, acoustic music, just hanging in a different city, going outdoor, breathing fresh air in the morning... preferably in a hammock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Wales for a little while. Once I travelled so far with one of my friends we didn't know there we are. That was the last bus to anywhere. Had to ask the counter at a petrol shop to show us on a map. She thought we were joking. We had kind of walked back all night from a city we had a ride to by an old man we just that night. It was very adventurous.
I made a documentation movie once that even won a price.

During my high school years with my friends we organised such a dance show that filled the whole school with people. It was amazing to see that so many people were interested in our performance.
For a month I lived in Calcutta where one night I have found myself in the middle of an Indian wedding. It was fun!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach You how to cook Hungarian food. It is easy. We can share many things about Hungarian wines, or places. We like to share our travel experiences if you are interested, and we are excited to hear yours.

We can recommend many places to visit near Budapest if you do not want to stick to the crowded city and visit a castle or cave or anything. There are many.
