ABOUT ME
Alriiiight, been a while again since I last used CS. The pandemic has made it complicated anyway, but as restrictions are being lifted, I'd be happy to slowly start surfing and hosting again.
I am a programmer, a photographer, a writer and a traveling model, which technically gives me several occasions to be on the road in a year, even though I've been slow to start moving around again.
I was born in France but have been living in Canada for the past 7 years, and am on the brink of getting a citizenship there.
I am fairly chill and easy to talk to and I love meeting new people (why would I be here if I didn't, hey?). I may be a little awk-awk at times (blame it on the autism), but I've got enough training in social interactions to properly entertain hosts and guests. Try me!
Couchsurfing seems to have removed my old reviews, but I have hosted and been hosted in the past, if you are wondering.
I think I'm quite open minded, exentric, with an awful yet strong sense of humor (mostly based on stupid plays on words). I'm also a daydreamer and your typical bookworm next door.
I am bilingual French/English and can speak some Spanish. Anyone willing to practice any of these with me is super welcome.
I'd love to talk about arts and tech with hosts and guests, but ultimately, I am hyped for any kind of exchange on any kind of topic as long as we're vibing well!
You can check my photo work on Insta if you want (@lokasen.nas), and if you have a portfolio of any kind, I'd love to see it. = )
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the concept of it. Traveling is about meeting people, and you get way better memories of a country when you can associate them with a face, a laugh, a friendship. Yeah, I know, I know, that was kinda cheesy, but it doesn't make it less true. Also, I like the idea of being able to find hospitality anywhere in the world through couchsurfing.
I don't have a spare room in my current home, but I do have a couch that I'll be happy to let you surf.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lot's of things. Too many, I should say. I'm a russian litterature addict (Dostoievsky and Bulgakov), and when it comes to music, I am able to listen to absolutly everything, even though I have preferences for klezmer, opera, classical music, rock, pagan metal, post/prog metal and a touch of electro.
My favorite movies are Barry Lyndon and Visconti's Ludwig. (So, yeah, long contemplative movies are my dope.)
When it comes to videogames, I love rogue likes (Don't Starve, Darkest Dungeon) and strategy (Civ 5, Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis) most.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've written and published a semi-autobiographical coming of age book about an autistic teen. This was a few years ago, but I still get comments from time to time from people who read it and connected with the story, and I think that kind of asynchronous communication is fantastic.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach my mothertongue - this means french - and I'll be glad to do so. I can also share photo, drawing or programming tips.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A nice chat, coffee, tea, company, the soothing presence of a friendly cat...
