Dear friends,

I’m Elara, from Shenzhen in Mainland China (close to Hong Kong, but not Hong Kong!). My hometown is Sichuan Province, famous for pandas and hotpots.

My friends see me as a brave and independent person. I grew up in a small rural city, but through unrelenting effort, I could leave that village, change my destiny, and achieve many ideals people often dream of.

However, my heart has never been content with the status quo. The more I explore the world, experience different cultures, meet people from unknown places, and climb new peaks, the more I realize how much there is still to discover.

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

I read a book written by a cool girl about her CS experiences. She had so many new and interesting adventures. I used to be someone who wasn't very good at socializing, but recently, it feels like something in me has awakened. I'm now fascinated by friends from different worlds, different cultures, and different stories. I'm both timid but brave, I hope to open another door to a new world.
