ABOUT ME

Well-travelled, open-minded, quirky and idealistic. But also rather pragmatic and blunt. Either way, I enjoy travelling immensely and meeting people from all walks of life, discussing everything under the sun with a G&T in hand.

I read a fair bit and I love music. I also hoard. A lot, and especially random bits of information. The more esoteric, the better. I am also a really good listener, and enjoy listening to stories of adventure, fun, love and laughter.

Photography is a big love and I travel with at least 4-5 cameras in tow. 35mm film is my preferred choice, on my Smena 8m. I also take polaroids every now and then to chart important as well as simple things in my life. These go into thick scrap books that can't close anymore..

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting people from all over the world and showing them a Singapore that's fun, enjoyable and not necessarily all anal/sanitised. Being rather nerdy, I can also give you a concise, but rather precise, history of the country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a few people in Amsterdam and Singapore, had an amazing time being hosted in Sweden. Essentially, I've met some really fun people when I for drinks/coffee/dinner.

Books: Classics, Travel Lit, Philosophy, Cultural/Media Theory. My favourite authors include Oscar Wilde, Franz Kafka, Jurgen Habermas and Jane Austen. I'm always up for reading new books and discussing stuff!

Movies: Amelie, Being John Malkovich, A Clockwork Orange (book too!), The Darjeeling Limited, Rear Window, Breakfast at Tiffany's, La Haine, The Pianist, Schindler's List, Ironman, Cops, Simon..
