CURRENT MISSION

About 6 years ago I quit my corporate job to travel the world. I've since travelled everywhere and worked for a cruise ship and met my life partner, Velma! We are both still travelling and volunteering via Helpx and Workaway. We've lived together on the ship, in Alaska, and in Hawaii.

ABOUT ME

I was born in the Philippines, but I moved to Los Angeles. When I quit my job to travel, I haven't stopped the nomadic lifestyle, working half a year and travelling the other half.
I'm pretty musical, quite athletic, really active and have a hearty appetite (I'll eat whatever you put in front of me). I believe that you get whatever you give out, so I have nothing but love and good vibes for everyone :)

Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My home (or couch) used to be tourist central! Friends, and friends of friends used to stay with me all the time! When I moved out of my apartment to try and save money for my world trip, I informally couchsurfed with a few friends for a few months too. :)

Traveling, Music (I play the ukulele, and a few other instruments) Movies, Books, Snowboarding, Muay Thai, Boxing, I'll do anything adventurous or outdoorsy.

Went Hang Gliding --- It was incredible!
Quit my job - it was liberating! Saw the first sunset before anyone else in the world in Gisborne, NZ! - mindblowing!
Apart from that - I've been in a musical, met a few of my fave celebrities, met my personal hero (and was able to tell him he was my hero), I've traveled Europe, and did 30 amazing things before I turned 30 (The 30by30 Project!)

I used to be an English Language/American Accent trainer. I can play and teach someone to play the ukulele.
Though I can't offer a couch at the moment, I've been able to offer space in my home whenever I have one!

I'm a pretty enthusiastic cook, and I love to bake! I play the ukulele so we can jam together if you're into music! Velma is a bartender so she's always up for good fun, and she is an OCD organizer - she can turn your messy rooms into the hall of mirrors in a matter of hours!
