Overview
About Me
I am a kinesthete and an explorer. I like to play. I philosophize without getting lost in the conceptual. I am genuinely excited about life. I practice Holistic Bodywork and Contact Improv. I play the drum set. I have a degree in Ecological Restoration, focus on Agroecology.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm traveling around to survey the state of the local food movement, check out grad programs, connect with contact improv scenes, and basically scout out where my people at/where I wanna be.
I was an exchange student in Thailand for a year, and WWOOFed in Costa Rica and Spain, so you can think of that as some long-term surfing. I've traveled on rich social networks (non-internet-based) and hosted people coming through.
I love the serendipitous flow of the traveler life, and how it teaches gratitude and wonder.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While living and teaching English in a rural Costa Rican schoolhouse, I woke up one night to a deep instinctual tug outside, which I followed, to find both sky and ground twinkling: one urgently, as if the stars were shouting Look here!, drawing attention to the streaks of space dust burning up brightly as they entered the dark rural atmosphere; the other slowly, the lazy fade and glow of tiny bioluminescent insects.
(This section used to say "/seen") An amazing thing I've *done* is road trip with a friend from Texas to Bolivia in a Jeep Wrangler.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a Structural Integrator, a practitioner of what some may have heard of as Rolfing. And I'm a contact dancer. So I have a fair trove of knowledge and skills toward an optimal use and structure of our physicality.
I also like a good question-rich dialogue, in which the real intent is not to find answers per se, but expanding vistas of wonderment.
