HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hi, my name really is Earth (hippie parents), and I do my best to live up to that name by traveling as much as I can. I've been in New York City for 10 years, but I lived in japan for 5 years before that and worked as an interpreter on a round-the-world cruise ship during that time. I'm currently taking a several-month sabbatical from work to see the world, and I'm hoping to learn more about the places I visit by staying with locals, rather than in hotels the whole time.

I'm a total newbie. The site was recommended to me by a friend at an arts festival in Spain.

Working my way through a lot of the bands in the 'Hipster International' playlist on Spotify. I'm also a big fan of the 90s, both music and movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Iguazu Falls in Brazil last month - that's got to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been!

Teach, Learn, Share

Just taught myself vocal harmony, and would love to practice it. If you have a guitar I can play too, even better :)
