About Me

CURRENT MISSION

For years my mission was to change the world...now I think I just need to either change myself or learn to live with Mr. Greg.

ABOUT ME

I'm originally from Los Angeles. I have a BA in Political Science from the University of Southern California and a Masters Degree in Creative Writing from San Francisco State. I was living in Goa, India for almost 20 years, but moved home to the US about 2 years ago. I've directed a feature film, an animation/live-action TV pilot and written two novels. For my last 8 years in India I was running the Planet Earthlings project to create social impact games mostly centering around spreading kindness. I'm a TEDx speaker and in 2022 was honored by the Prime Minister of India for my “…work in visual media and using it to create a better world…” Currently back living in Los Angeles doing some consulting and back at trying to work in the entertainment business.

My daughter, Duniya, lives with me in LA. Her name means "The World" in a number of languages. She's 20 years old and an up and coming game streamer who in less than a year and a half is already in the top one-half of one precent of streamers in the world. She has over 100k followers across all social media. Her videos have about 5 million views and her hashtag @voltniya has been used around 10 million times.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed a few couches and had several people stay with us when we were in Goa. Right now my life is crazy so haven't had anyone surfing our apartment in LA, but hope to change that soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have had some interesting experiences both staying with people and with people visiting.

BTW...my novel "Revolution American Style" starts with the line, "I love CouchSurving.com" because the two most important characters in the book meet through CouchSurfing.
