ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Orange County, California, USA, moved to New York City after high school, then to Houston, Texas, where I finished my undergrad degree at Rice University in 2012. Spent summer of 2011 living and working in Kiel, Germany (where I discovered CouchSurfing), headed back to TX for a year to finish up at Rice, then headed back over the pond again to do the first year of my masters in Vienna, Austria. Recently finished the second year of my masters in Copenhagen, and now living and working here.
Sitting still and being quiet are two pretty challenging tasks for me. I love food, especially coffee (my mental capacity is strongly correlated with my coffee consumption). I love walking everywhere (hopefully it's not raining) and not wearing shoes when I don't have to! I dislike being unwillingly submerged in cold water or rushed, and the only two foods I've encountered in my life which I don't like to eat are natto (Japan) and durian fruit (Singapore).
Above all, I value people who are genuine and spirited.
PHILOSOPHY
Everybody has their own reasons for doing the things they do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have now been hosting much more often than surfing... I like to host, though, as in my own experience it is way more awesome to stay with someone when traveling somewhere new than it is to go to a hostel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've lived on couches, air mattresses, back seats, floors, and in closets before, though never through the facilitation of this website. I'm looking forward to meeting some rad new friends around the world, so won't you adopt this traveler into your heart and onto your couch? :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I have seen in my recent recollection is Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmmm.... I can teach you how to swim! Or how to say a chinese tongue twister! I know lots of trivia about Disneyland (the one in Anaheim, CA), and I can tell you lots of places to eat at if you're in Copenhagen.
I don't know a lot of things that I would really like to know about the world, and I don't know a lot of things that I don't even know that I would like to know about the world, but I learn something new from everybody I meet, so let's meet! Can you teach me something new? I bet you can.
