Traveling is my passion. I care so greatly about people, places, the environment, culture, animals . . . Everything really. I don't care much for big name stores or brands, and shopping in big stores gives me anxiety. I love meeting new people and having new experiences with good friends, new and old. Bonfires outside, walks, hikes, fishing, laughing, and dancing bring me great joy.

I recently just moved to Manuel Antonio and love it here.

I was a High School Spanish teacher. I have been for the past 12 years, believe it or not! Hoping to teach English here soon.

My undergraduate studies were in Latin, Education, and Spanish. My Masters is in Ecological Teaching and Learning (I could talk forever about this program). I have been continuing my studies in Spanish as well.

A Language Older than Words by Derrick Jensen changed my life. Blessed Unrest by Paul Hawken gave me hope after the former.

I listen to everything really, except for country (although I am not opposed to it).

Generally I like to watch comedies or documentaries. I love non Hollywood films. I really don't get into horror movies.

I put myself through school. Personally, I think that is pretty cool.

Adventure-wise, I think studying in Madrid was probably my greatest adventure to date. I would love to tell you about my trip to Scotland, that was probably the craziest experience I've had.

I would love to practice using language with my host (Spanish, English). I would also love to share stories, laughter, maybe a drink or two, and perhaps some cuisine. I cook pretty well and would love to offer you a thank you meal.
