About Me

CURRENT MISSION

save my boots from getting dusty: walk from a train to a city to a park to a friend's

ABOUT ME

I think that's for others to tell...

PHILOSOPHY

be gentle with me, and I'll be gentle with you.
don't just smile, laugh!
enthusiast about every atom in the universe
only thing I can't handle that well, annoying people. I hope I'm not one!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would host anybody that wouldn't steal my stuff, though I'm not sure I have anything worth being stolen...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept in couches all around, europe, west africa, us, china, ... couches from people I was good friends with or I barely knew, and some of them even trusted me to babysit their children after the second day!

Interests

-travelling, every year I try to spend a couple months travelling... lately more like one.
-learning languages
-meeting people: randomly or otherwise... rather randomly. no, rather otherwise. no, I don't know...
-music, music, and more music
-partying between 8 and 24 hours non-stop
-reading, books, literature, give it another name and I will love it all the same

Music, Movies, and Books

music: anything from bach to bob dylan, to german electronica to fun american indie rock, pixies to beatles, sonic youth, deep house, minimal, manythings (not the same as anything). rather everything.

books: homer, dante, proust, borges, jd salinger, ... I read mostly classics, too bad it sounds pretentious to say...

movies: eternal sunshine of a spotless mind, die hard 3 (yay!), lost in translation, waking life, all about eve, old joy, there will be blood, half nelson... old classics, new classics

art: early renaissance, impressionism, expressionism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

a recent one comes to mind... walking 45minutes in the jungle with a 7year old girl that had a machete as tall as she was. she took us to an amazing waterfall. and she looked so dan hardcore!

can't stop reminiscing!: getting a ride that ended in couch + dinner + drinks + friendship after waiting for three hours in a dark little rainy gas station in slovakia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fluent in french, italian and english. spanish native, my german... it's getting there.
I have a degree in theoretical physics and I'm a researcher on theoretical biophysics... so yeah, if you want to learn about physics or math (highly unlikely), I'm the guy.

I want to know more about everything, really.
