About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make CouchSurfing Friends at home - Travel Later
ABOUT ME
I am a man who likes to meet new folks and make new friends. Am very "hands-on" at fixing and making things ranging from cooking to fixing cars to designing automation systems or house construction.
Like technology and gadgets. Have built lots of PC computers, networked PC and Macs, spent over 20 years doing CAD design, making parts in machine shops, building special machines for manufacturing. Love to read, don't have a TV at home.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a caring Christian man with 4 kids (two boys and two girls) that was married for 23 years, now lives alone and sees my younger son as often as possible.
My life is now dedicated to Proverbs 3-4 seeking wisdom, so I can be happy, live long, have riches and honor for the right reasons.
I have a wonderful Dad that is now 80 and lives nearby, Mom and Dad were married for 53 years when she passed away about 5 years ago.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offered to participate in the project with computer related tech skills.
Posted a review of CouchSurfing.com on Yelp.com so thousands of viewers will see and learn about it. Some Yelpers had good things to say about CouchSurfing.com.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just a beginner at CouchSurfing, but have hundreds of friends made on Yelp.com at www.acad2kman.yelp.com
Interests
Meeting new people, I read lots of books, no TV for me, chess, camping, fishing, mountain climbing, hiking, exploring the amazing local nature spots here in the SF Bay area of California. Want to travel abroad.
Science interests are broad. I have worked on Magnetic and Laser Fusion projects, particle accelerators for Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, Medical Devices for angioplasty, manufacturing automation systems for chip and hard disk manufacturing for Hard Disk Drives.
Now sell Toyota Hybrid cars, interested in electric cars to replace the gas cars we drive most of the time like those from www.TeslaMotors.com

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have climbed Longs Peak in Colorado, a 14K foot mountain, fished for trout at 10K feet up in the mountains, eaten huge fresh cutthroat trout cooked over a campfire that looked like salmon inside.
Have camped in Death Valley, California and got to know the desert at 130 F in the day and a balmy 75 F at night.
Fixed cars by the side of the road, met amazing folks who helped us when we needed help, saw miracles happen when they were necessary.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like talking about God, Technology, People, Places, Travel and the unlimited possibilities of life.
