About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission at CS is to encourage exploration and be inspired

ABOUT ME

TRAVELLING in Europe in December! I brought my sleeping bag and pad!

SO many people have been SO kind to me in SO many ways to me, in travel, and in life, I feel I have a huge karmic debt to repay. Hosting couchsurfers is one way I do it.

Recently I´ve been spending a lot of time with my family and it´s been great!

Penny-wise and pound-foolish: I keep the house at 55´F to save cash(unless I have guests), but I just spent $600 for beer on sale. At least my house keeps it cold!

I´m mostly a last-minute planner. It´s worked pretty well for me most of the time, but doesn´t work for
everyone.

PHILOSOPHY

It's more important to do the right thing than to do things right.

Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you. -Lao Tzu

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

People sleep on my couch, floor, or airbed. I have a hammock, but no one has chosen that yet. Go figure.

Hopefully my guests like to hike because what I like to do in Alaska, and it´s cheap. My family also has a canoe on a public lake about five minutes by foot from my house. We might go dancing downtown at Humpy´s or The Kodiak, and everyone has to visit ´Koot´s (biggest bar in Alaska).

I really want people to enjoy Alaska and Anchorage, because I love it here. If I can be of any help, I try to be.
