About Me
I graduated college a couple years ago and have since been enjoying every moment at a job I am obsessed with and the hometown I love. In a year or so, I'll be taking off to live in another country with my boyfriend. Where is still TBD.
I'm a lifelong learner and if you get me talking about psychology, politics, philosophy, etc. we will quickly become friends! I enjoy drinking wine and beer, especially in Reno where many fun craft breweries have popped up. I love dancing, hanging out at the beach, and am an avid reader. I live in midtown in Reno which is a place you have to experience. I absolutely love the little shops, hole-in-the-wall bars and restaurants, and the fun people. You can walk or bike to all the best places.
If you enjoy volleyball, hot yoga, aerial yoga, or craft beer, let me show you my favorite places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted only a couple Couchsurfers and would love to host more! And many AMAZING people hosted me throughout my 4 months in Europe. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed tons in Europe and have had a couple surfers of my own in Reno. One amazing experience I had was having a German couchsurfer stay with me, and then a year and a half later, I went and stayed with her in Germany! It was an awesome reunion and so amazing to be able to see each other's homes and lives. I still look back and smile on all the amazing people who graciously hosted me and made my travel experiences ten times better. I can never thank them enough :)
Interests
Traveling, psychology, yoga, reading, cooking, baking, hanging out with friends, going out dancing, learning new things, learning new languages, anything really. The beer crawls and wine walks are so much fun on a sunny day in Reno, and there's also a great comedy club I love going to and an amazing monthly storytelling event I'd love to introduce people to. During the summer, we have a ton to do, like rafting the Truckee River and enjoying the festivals.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ayn Rand is my favorite. I've read Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, The Virtues of Selfishness, and We the Living. If you've read Ayn Rand, please come over for some wine and talk about Objectivism!
I read all kinds of books, but mostly fiction. Jodi Picoult is another favorite. Comedy films are always good but I really like movies that make you think. I listen to music of all types, except country. I've been to the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas four years in a row.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was an exchange student for a year in Aachen, Germany. An eye-opening experience for an American to see her country through the eyes of Europe. And I learned to speak a little German :)
Then I spent 4 months backpacking through Europe with my boyfriend. We saw ten countries and 52 cities! I will never forget that time of my life. I even made it on Greek national news.
I spent a month Thailand with my best friend. Between training to become mahouts and getting our scuba certificates, it was a crazy awesome month.
I just finished my 4th year of Burning Man, where I was in charge of organizing a camp of 40 people. It's just as much of an eye-opener as traveling is! It is a must for everyone who is open to living in a beautiful, alternative world for a week.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking, come over and let's cook together! I can show you around midtown, the quirky little area in Reno with all the best little bars and restaurants. I'll take you to fun events you would have never known about, or we can drive up to Tahoe and soak up some sun together.
