About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Witness the beauty of our world
ABOUT ME
I'm Canadian, but I have a tendency to travel whenever I get the chance. I have lived abroad for 2 years, once in Belgium and once in France. During my travels, I love meeting new people, and experiencing new ways of life. I enjoy sports and being active in general.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is always in flux, changing as I grow and age. However, some persistent core values guide my decisions in life, namely open-mindedness, compassion, and empathy. As you may have noticed, these are consistent with my career choice. I believe in experiencing and understanding before judging and drawing conclusions. People always say I am a good listener; I listen to understand.
This being said, I hold myself and my friends to a high standard. Simply put… I don’t put up with shit! I expect to be treated with kindness and respect, and I don’t have time to waste on people who are not genuine in their intentions. I can be rather blunt, however my say-it-as-it-is tactic has kept my life drama free with good friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hoping to help people who are passing through the area get the most out of their experience. I find it so helpful when someone can take you out for coffee or a drink and give you some ideas of what is best to see in the area.
I am new to Quebec City, but know my way around fairly well. I would be happy to explore this beautiful city with visiting Couchsurfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have travelled here and there with Couchsurfing, however I did travel a whole month through Italy with a friend almost exclusively with Couchsurfing. It was one of my best trips to date.

Music, Movies, and Books
I generally enjoy most aspects of pop culture, movies and music included. However, I am open to almost anything that doesn’t involve yelling (no screamo lol). For years I played violin and sang in a competitive choir, so I also enjoy classical and instrumental music.
My reading tastes are also varied. I enjoy bestsellers, but I mostly read books somewhat related to medicine or medical history and or fitness and nutrition.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Becoming engaged on the Pont des arts in Paris (getting to put a lock on before they cut them all off)!
Holding a Koala in Australia.
Wandering through Pompeii in Italy.
Visiting temples (Abu Simbel, Luxor, Edfu, Philae) in Egypt.
Teach, Learn, Share
At some point I would like to learn Spanish. Probably once I am done my studies in medicine.
I am happy to teach people French or English, about medicine or about physical activity and nutrition.
