About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To connect the world through music, and raise a glass of wine to celebrate

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the East village/Lower East Side, a very special neighborhood in new york that i call home. Currently i am living in brooklyn in south williamsburg. I make music whenever I have the chance, either with others or just making beats and rhymes on my own. I work at my family wine store - Chambers St. Wines - in downtown manhattan. I also run a wine bar on 14th Street in a restaurant called Dirty Bird (they do free-range rotisserie and fried chicken). I'm also an audio professor in the media arts department at BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College). I'd like to travel the world performing, learning about life (and food!), and meeting winemakers. maybe i'll see you somewhere in this magnificent universe!

PHILOSOPHY

I am developing this. I know i am living my life and planning my future to help as many people as i can to have a safe joyous life free from fear and violence. I have a strong family and a warm history, and i am sad that around the world people do not have this. So in everything i do, i want to change things. Sometimes it happens that i get distracted, by the city, by work, by school, by relationships. There are many details that confuse the individual and make one retreat into a shell. I try as much as possible to put myself out in the world and be confident. Although it won't all happen overnight, there is no reason to give up on my vision. People think its impossible to change the way the world is. I believe it is possible and that's what my life is for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After joining in late 2007 i hosted many CSers here in new york... and then I had an opportunity to travel to London as part of my graduate school studies, and I stayed with many different hosts throughout the city. My experiences both with hosting and with couchsurfing on my own revealed to me what is so special about this community. I hope to give back in whatever way I can, even if I can't always host here in New York.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

10 days in london of pure CSing joy! I've welcomed countless people into my home here in new york and hope to be able to do so again sometime soon!
